This tourist poster has been famous ever since Viggo Vagnby created it in 1951. In1985 fate willed the poster to gain renewed recognition, and that happened in a funny way:
By mistake the poster was rolled up and packed – as sort of a protective wrapper – together with a number of other new posters which were to participate in an international competition in England. By a new mistake it took part in the competition – and won a gold medal as the best poster among hundreds of others from all over the world.
